Plan View:

A look into the eye of a building

15.07.2022 - 17.07.2022

Temporary Public Installation

Nathan Phillips Square - Toronto City Hall, Canada

The site-specific work revisits the original architectural plans for the Toronto City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square to construct sculptural forms that play with the perspective of the building’s monumental geometry.

Inspired by urban infrastructure, the scale and modular character of the sculpture allows it to be configured in a way that welcomes visitor’s bodies to rest within it.

This work reflects the language developed over a series of paintings and sculptures that is based on deconstructing and rearranging elements of the landscape to investigate dialogues between architecture, objects and the body.
